Foster Homes
We are in dire need of
foster homes. You can help by housing a rescued Boston
Terrier on a temporary basis for whatever period of time
you may have available. Most of our rescues are with us
for an average of 45 days. If you have room to foster,
please email us for further information. All rescues are
examined by our vet, given all shots and vaccinations,
"quarantined" for the requisite amount of time
to determine if they have any illnesses; then bathed and
put on heart worm and flea preventative prior to going
into their foster homes. We cover all medical expenses—all
you need to provide is food, water, shelter and LOTS OF
LOVE!!!

Transportation
Transporting a dog(s)
entails picking up a dog(s) from a driver in one town
and then driving anywhere from 50 to a 100 miles to another
town (depending on what the transport request indicates).
You will then meet another driver who will then in turn
do the same. Once you have transferred the dog(s) to the
other driver, you are required to call the transport coordinator
and check in as all transports are monitored. Once the
dog(s) reaches its destination, an email will be sent
to all involved to thank them and let them know that the
dog(s) is safe and sound.

A call for cross
stitchers to help
us make a quilt to raffle for fundraiser.
Greetings to All,
My name is Nancy Capps. I would like to ask for your help
in a counted cross stitch project. Upon completion, we
will hold a ticket raffle for the quilt that will be made
by volunteers. All monies made will of course go towards
paying our bills for veterinary care for our rescued Boston
Terriers. The quilt will be made up of 50 counted cross
stitch blocks and put together to make a quilt. The cross
stitch blocks (14 count aida) are the states flowers.
Each block will have a states flower and the states name.
The size of the cross stitch block is 8 inches but most
of the actual stitching is 4.5 inches x 5 inches. The
work is not complex. Your materials will be supplied for
you and can be mailed to you. I am paying for this project.
I would like the finished block back in 6 months. It would
be your responsibilty to get the block back to me. I believe
this cost to be minimal.

I hope that you will share this request with members of
your group, friends and volunteers. I know this will be
a beautiful quilt, but most of all it will help us to
help our dogs. I am available for any questions that you
might have or if you want to be sent the materials. My
email address is wbcapps@mindspring.com

Sponsorship Program
Want to help a Boston
Terrier in need, but don't know where your donation is
going? Is there a particular Boston Terrier that
we have for adoption that you would like to help, but
you either cannot adopt him/her or want to donate specifically
towards that Boston Terrier? Our sponsorship
program is a "virtual Boston Terrier adoption"
which allows you to choose which Boston Terrier you would
like to help, rather than just making a donation and not
knowing whom your donation will help.

We understand that making the decision to give up your dog is a tough one. If you are unsure about making this decision, call us at 866-778-3705 (see blue paragraph below); and maybe we can help you find a way to keep him or her!
For an urgent surrender, please send an email to: 1461986
@ usamobility.net providing only your name, area code
with phone number, and complete physical address, with Boston Terrier Surrender in the subject line. Do not send a narrative.
Please DO NOT use the above phone number: (1) to release your Boston
Terrier if you have contacted other rescue organizations
because doing so creates an unnecessary duplication of efforts on the part of many volunteers, and/or (2) to apply for
or inquire about available Boston Terriers.
Please understand that the dogs we take in are prioritized. Dogs coming from a shelter, where they are in danger of being put to sleep, and unclaimed strays are given first and top priority. Next, we look at dogs who are in need of immediate health care that their owners cannot provide. We then consider other dogs. For an owner release, we often ask that people foster their dogs while we look for a permanent home for them.
If you are unable to care for your dog any longer and if we do not have an available foster home, we hope that you will contribute to the cost of boarding them. Sometimes this is not possible, and we will still take the dog; but since we are funded by donations and since the cost of rescue outweighs the contributions, we hope that you can help us out while we help you out by finding a great home for your dog.
Thank you for your cooperation.
